Richard intrigued me, always, with his wealth and retention of historical and political knowledge. He was a true friend. We met in Quepos, Costa Rica the summer Jerry Garcia died, 1995, and we had a lot in common as LAUSD teachers--and our schools were practically in the same neighborhood! We were meant to meet and share an almost 30-year friendship!

Brought Lenox down to see you this weekend! Isn't he a cute little guy! You would have had so much fun with him! Stopped by Mi Casa, Pam went there last week as well! We all miss you and love you!

Hello,  I am so very sad to hear of Richard's passing.  You may not recognize my name.  My maiden name is Moyer, and my mom was Ruth, Thelma's sister.  Our family always referred to Richard as Dickie.  I've been going through some old negatives and scanning them to see the photos, and have found several already that are of Richard as a boy.  I remember visiting Richard, his wife, Pat, and their two daughters in the late 60's or early 70's, one whose name I remember as Kimmie, who was the younger of the two girls.  If you would like me to email you copies of the photos, I would be happy to.   I have included a photo of Richard and his sister, Judy, with their parents, Richard and Thelma.  I'm not sure of the year the photo was taken.   Again, I am so very sorry for your loss.
