Richard J. Kyte, 78, born Dec. 23, 1933 in Detroit, passed away Jan. 5, 2012 in Henderson. His parents, Charles Kyte and Evelyn Paige Kyte, preceded him in death. Richard is survived by his children, Sue and her husband, Jay Larson, Richard C. and his wife, Lorena, Thomas and his wife, Melanie, Amy and her husband, Jim Devor; wife, Alicia Kyte; sister, Bonnie and her husband, Kenneth White; seven grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. "Dick" was a 1956 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Conn. and retired from Bethlehem Steel, Harrisburg, Pa. in 2000. A memorial celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
