Richard Gillman Helm (Rick) passed away May 31, 2015. Born to Joseph and Pearletta Helm in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 30, 1945, he was a lifetime resident. He served in the U.S. Army before joining the Clark County Sheriff’s Department in 1968 and later the L.V. Metropolitan Police Department. After leaving LVMPD, Rick joined the UNLV Police Department and retired in 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, a baby brother, Frankie, and his deeply loved brother, Donald. He is survived by a son, Ronald Cupp, his sister Patricia Perales and niece Nina Bertrand in Texas. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 9 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Palm Mortuary Downtown. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am Wednesday, June 10 at Palm Mortuary Downtown 1325 N. main Street, with Burial at 12:00pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
