My new little guy-Hanzo Rex Stockdale born 2/20/24.

16 years ago, I was working as a personal trainer and I got a call from a person who was searching for a trainer that specialized in Boxing. Little did I know that that phone call would change my life forever. I didn't gain a new client, I ended up with a brother. Rex became to me as close as family could be and became one of the few people in this world that I could trust and count on. He believed in me and always had a plan. 

One day when we were training he gave me some very sound advise and direction. Ultimately, I ended up making one of the biggest and best decisions I have ever made and decided to join the Army and become a Combat Medic and Paratrooper at the ripe old age of 35. 

This led me down a road that changed my life for ever and it was the best thing to ever happen to me. As a result I met my wife and Rex was my best man. He came through and was also able to help arrange to get me married while I was still in training and not having any control on the outside world. 

14 years later I have been blessed with 2 beautiful children and a wife that I could never image being without. Rex help set in motion events in my life that change the course of my life for the better. 

He was always in my corner and always had a way to keep me seeing the silver lining and not fall into a cup half empty mentality. He was the big brother I never had but the one I always needed. I have a very broken family and I had been alone for a very long time.  Rex was the one to whom I would leave my remains to had I died in combat, he was literally the only family I had.  

My heart is broken and I'm devastated now that he's gone. He gave me hope and inspiration and I wanted to make him proud. I miss him so much. I miss our times together training and our deep conversations.  We'd be in a better place if we had more people like him in our world. I miss you brother.

We will miss him dearly

A born fighter through and through.  He taught me to own up to my mistakes and barrel through tough times with a glad heart. The gratitude in is heart is unmeasurable!

There'll never be another Rex, or American Baggage Company (ABC).  Rex was an airline baggage transfers pioneer that set the standard for the entire U.S. airline industry.

We have been blessed to have known Rex for 20+ years. It didn’t matter how much he personally struggled, he always remembered our birthdays, called on holidays, and made sure to visit when he was in town.  One of the kindest, most giving, and loving people we have been blessed to know.

For us, he leaves behind a void no one else will ever fill. Until we meet again good friend, thanks for the friendship and memories. 

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Jarrett family.

Rex taught me that there is never a good time for a Pity Party.  Find the best in  difficult situations and make all the blossoms Blume

Rex was an extraordinary man, a great business partner, and a true friend . He will  be dearly missed by all of those whose lives were blessed with knowing him.

I knew Rex as a dedicated member of The Landing Coronado Homeowners Association.  It was a pleasure knowing him. His positive, caring personality was greatly appreciated.
