Rex was born September 2, 1936, in Idaho Falls, ID to Ronal D. Graham and Eleanor Reed Graham.
He was the third son of Ronal D. Graham and the oldest son of Eleanor Reed Graham. He had two older half brothers, Ian Hyde Graham (Bud) and Tasman Lees Graham (Tas), and two younger brothers, Gary Graham, and Ronal “Gordon” Graham.
Rex attended grade school in Las Vegas, NV, middle school in Caliente, NV, and high school in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Utah State in Logan, Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Rex married Loma Joy Call in Idaho Falls, Idaho on January 20, 1956. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Rex served in many capacities within the church, including ordinance worker in the Las Vegas Temple and as stake patriarch of the Las Vegas, NV South Stake.
Rex started his career working with John Deere Company for 20 years, which took him to the following areas: Twin Falls, Idaho; Troutdale, Oregon; Moline, Illinois; and Syracuse, NY. After he retired from John Deere, they moved to Las Vegas, NV where Rex managed a startup long-distance telephone company until it was bought out. He then ended his business career by owning a successful mortgage company with his son Kelly.
Rex is survived by his loving wife Loma of Las Vegas, NV; son Kurt (Cindy) of Cedar City, UT; Kelly (Connie) of Las Vegas, NV; Kraig (Rhodelle) of Kaysville, UT; his brother, Gary Graham of Ririe, Idaho, and his 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ronal D. Graham and Eleanor Reed Graham; his stepfather Oscar Bennion; and brothers Ian Hyde Graham (Bud); Tasman Lees Graham (Tas); and Ronal “Gordon” Graham.
His family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful and caring people at Legacy House of Centennial Hills, and Brighton Hospice, for their kind and compassionate service to Rex.
He will be forever remembered for his kind nature to friends and family alike, and for the love he gave to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W Cheyenne Ave, Las Vegas, NV. 89129
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 9830 W Elkhorn Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89149
A second visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 10 - 10:45 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, 9830 W Elkhorn Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89149 followed by
the funeral service at 11:00.
On Saturday morning, July 13, 2024, from 9 - 10:30am a visitation will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 West Main St., Rigby, ID. Following the viewing, a graveside service and grave dedication will be held at 11:00am at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery, 600 S Yellowstone Highway, Idaho Falls, ID.
