Rebecca Braverman, 83, a retired social worker, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was born in Chicago, IL on January 23, 1933 to Joel and Mary and was a Las Vegas resident since January 1991. Rebecca received her graduate degree in social work from University of Southern California. She devoted 23-years as an advocate for hospital and convalescent home patients. Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Nathan. She is survived by Seymour, her beloved husband of 56 years; son Roger (Sara) of West Orange, NJ; and granddaughter, Mira. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow at the King David Memorial Cemetery. Family requests that memorial donations be sent to the American Cancer Society. King David Memorial Chapel handled the arrangements.
