Raymond A. Tryba 79 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on November 2nd, 2019. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7th from 9-11am at Palm Northwest Funeral Home. A Catholic Services will be held immediately following at 11am.
Raymond was born November 29, 1939 in Wilkes-Barre PA to William and Catherine (Wywiorski) Tryba. He graduated from Hannover High School In 1957 and went on to obtain a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University in 1959. Raymond worked as an Ammunition Peculiar Equipment Chief (GS15) at the Department of Defense for 28 years before finally retiring from the Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois in 1993. While stationed in Korea in the late 1960’s, he was the youngest section chief in US History at the time.
Raymond was a well-read man who loved spending time with his family, tinkering around in the garage and going to church. A devout catholic, he shared his faith through example; selflessly exhibiting great love and compassion for others. He was a kind soul who made friends everywhere he went with his infectious smile, friendly demeanor and graceful storytelling.
Raymond is survived by his three children: Ruth (Mark) Johnson, Elizabeth (Marvin) Loving and Jody (Suzette) Hawkins: his daughter in law Teresa Tryba his grandchildren: Abby (Josh) Barnes, Joshua (Aleshia) Tryba, Dylan (Marissa) Bowling, Kennedy, Tristan, Braham, Landry, Sawyer Hawkins, Jeremiah (Deanna) Webb and Jennifer (Chad) Sims. 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters Arlene Bodzio and Bernadette Fera.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, son William and sister Teresa
