Ms. Rachel called my daddy Son, and took my mama, as another daughter. ..worked with my daddy... went to church, with my mama... Both, my father and her threw huge dinner parties, with barbeque, and gumbo, and she was always the life, of the party. Everybody, French-Jews, Italians, Mexicans, and blacks had nice clothing, with leather coats, and sweaters, with leather and suede trim, and women were gifted leather skirts, and boots, for Christmas. It was an era to see. Everybody had volvos and Mercedes. The people, in Las Vegas were working, together. I called her Rachel,' my whole life,  because that's what everybody else, smiled and said, to her. She loved, some Curtis. .. tore her up, when he passed. My moms lost my pops. That tore up Rachel and Curtis. Although, I call her Rachel, that's my adopted grandma. .. I always talked, to her about my problems. I had a lot of problems, in 2016, that are still unresolved... I just realized I couldn't talk, to her, and make the matter better, but that's my other Grammy... She didn't send a card.. she would call you ' Grandson,' before you left her presence. Such a loss...

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Netta, I am so sorry for your loss but more excited for heavens gain. Granny was so welcoming and accepting of me and Shalyn and I am so grateful to have gotten to share a piece of my life with her. Rachel was a beautiful and caring soul.  She always had an encouraging word for those looking for employment.  I will always cheirsh my memories of Rachel being an usher at Pleasant Grove MBC.  She was the heart and soul of the ushers.  My condolences to the family in this time of bereavement.

Rachel and I worked together at the Plaza Casino/Hotel downtown. We had a lot of laughs together in my office. She was a great woman. Very caring. She will be missed by so many people.

Ms. Rachel loved my baby Ballin' D, my children Breona and Brandon and me. She loved my husband MC Drew and she always made sure he had a job every summer when he came home while in college. What a beautiful woman.  I will truly truly miss her.

Granny will truly be missed. I will always appreciate her opening up her doors and home to me and my family. Thanks for keeping me on my feet, Granny. May you Rest In Paradise with no more pain
