Preston “Pres” White Thompson, 85, of Las Vegas, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016. He was born October 24, 1930 to Annie and James Thompson in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired executive of Southwest Gas Corporation. Pres married the love of his life, Ileen Miller, on November 26, 1954. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elsie, and brother Jim. Pres is survived by his beloved wife, Ileen; daughter, Alison (Greg); son, Bryan (Sue); grandchildren, Andy and Nicole; great grandson Jack. Private services will be held on Saturday, March 19, at Palm Northwest Mortuary. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Candlelighters of Las Vegas.
