Growing up in New York, Paulette attended Washingtonville High School and after graduation, she obtained her secretarial degree from Stone School of Business. Paulette moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1979 where she entered the work filed at the Nevada Test Site, working for several government contractors, Westinghouse, Raytheon, Bechtel, and Holms & Navar. For the past 15 years, she ended her career working for the United Health. Throughout her career, Paulette made long lasting friendships.
In 1987, Paulette married the love of her life Wayne Brown. They both loved traveling together, spending time with family, and making every day memorable. Paulette loved to cook and bake, sharing good wine and conversation with family and friends, being by the ocean and loved roses. Her favorite pastime was knitting while watching a good movie. Paulette always had a beautiful smile that became brighter as she beat you in a game of Dominoes, cards or Pokeno.
Paulette C. Brown passed away on Wednesday August 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Tonic Sr. and Christine Tonic; her brothers Paul Tonic Jr. and William Tonic; her sister Linda Tonic.
Paulette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 35 years Wayne Brown, her sons Aaron Brown and wife Brynndeil, Jamal Brown and his wife Stephanie, her daughter Wayla Brown, her brothers Donald Tonic, David Tonic and his wife Susan, Scott Tonic, her sisters Wanda and her husband Dillard Fisher, Cecelia and her husband Eddie Brown, her grandchildren Javion Stewart, Saniya Williams, Audrey Brown, Mariah Montano, Isaiah Brown and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
