Patricia (Patty) Ann Johnson, age 55, of Las Vegas, Nevada, gained her Heavenly wings on Monday, August 17, 2020. Patricia was born on September 23, 1964 to Katie Mae Dickens (Johnson) and Bobby Green.
Patricia was a Las Vegas native and educated in Clark County throughout her youth. She attended Eldorado High School where she was part of the basketball and track team. Patricia was intelligent, quick-witted, and a motivated learner. She taught herself to speak fluent Spanish as a teenager and used her bilingual skills to assist others both personally and professionally throughout her life. Patricia was versatile and worked various jobs throughout her life with her longest tenure being employed as a cashier at Mario’s market for nearly 30 years. She was more than an employee; she was like family to owner, coworkers and customers. Patricia dedicated her life to Christ at a young age and was a life-long and active member at Full Gospel Temple of Jesus Christ, under the leadership of Pastor John Slack.
Patricia was a devoted mother who loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. She provided support to her children through their trials and embraced and celebrated every moment of their triumphs. Patricia shares her birthday with her eldest grandchild, A’mya, which made her birthday that much more special because she was able to share it someone she cherished so dearly. Patricia loved her sisters and brothers and had a unique and special bond with all of them, her untimely departure leaves a void that is irreplaceable.
Patricia’s life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32- “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving to one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you” Patricia had a way of making everyone in her life feel special whether family, friends, or coworkers, she made everyone feel seen, loved, and valued for who they were. Patricia had a fun personality and infectious laugh that lit up a room. She brought everyone joy just by being in her presence. She loved to dance, play bingo, and most of all attend family gatherings…Everyone loved to see her walking through the door with a pot of her delicious greens.
Patricia will be forever missed and is survived by father, Bobby Green; children Danyale Diaz, Martell Quarles, and Cesar Lopez; Grandchildren A’mya Phyfiher, Kaleb, Brooklyn, and Kaleah Lopez, Prince Smith, London, Romance, and Mia Lopez; Siblings Barbara Williams, Stephanie McDaniels, Sharon Johnson, Charles Johnson, Bobby Green, Virginia Jackson, Michael Green, Lee Green, Craig and Carla Green, and Cousin Monica Archie who was like a sister to Patricia.
