Born on February 8, 1939, in Chania, Crete, Panagiotis faced the challenges of World War II and a modest upbringing under the care of his beloved mother, Marianthi Doukakis, alongside his younger brother, Christos Doukakis. He is also remembered by his surviving brother, Vasili Doukakis, and sister, Moscha Doukakis.
Panagiotis and Chrisoula embarked on a journey of hope and opportunity, immigrating to the United States with their three older children before welcoming two more into their loving embrace.
