Norma Jean “Yummy” Anthony, a long-time resident of the Las Vegas area, passed into Heaven peacefully on March 14, 2014. Norma was born on November 30, 1935 to Mary and Lorenzo Washington of Elyria, Ohio and was the sixth of nine beautiful children. She found her soul mate and partner for life at 14-years old when she met Frank Excell Anthony of Cleveland, Ohio. They were married on January 11, 1954 and moved to Las Vegas in 1970. Norma enjoyed a long and celebrated career at Caesars Palace from 1971 until she retired as a Blackjack dealer in 1997. Her trademark “Oh My!” and her bright and engaging personality were enjoyed by her many guests on her table. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her beloved dogs. Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Excell Anthony. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Mary Ann) Anthony, Michael E. Anthony, Sandra (Leon) Pridgen, Scott (Barbara - deceased) Anthony, and Paul (Laurene) Anthony. Norma was blessed with eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Norma had eight siblings Alfreda, Chloe, Lorenzo “Duke”, Howard and Charles (all deceased). She is survived by her sisters Barbara and Phyllis, and her brother Benny. Norma was a shining example of Christ’s love and an inspiration in her family’s Christian walk. She is now present with the Lord and reunited with her beloved husband, Frank. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Friday, March 21, 2014 followed by a funeral service from 12:00pm-1:00pm; burial to follow. All services will take place at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue (Eastern and Robindale), Las Vegas, Nevada 89123.
