Mom was born on May 18th, 1944 in Burley, ID to Nolan Lee and Eula Ruth Jeffs. Burley was a small town. Mom would always describe it as only having one stop light in the whole place. “It’s easy to get around. You just get to the only stop light and turn right.” She’d say.
Shortly after graduating, mom met her first husband. Their relationship didn’t last long, but she was blessed with her first born son Jeffery Lee (Amy).
Moms solution to many of life’s problems was always with prayer. Any time she was confronted with something challenging she would turn to pray or at least tell that hurting soul, “I’m gonna pray that God blesses you!” One night at her late brother Denis’ house during a bible study, she was introduced to a gentleman that Denis worked with. His name was Jim Haskin. She’d describe it as a bit awkward but they eventually fell in love.
On June 14th, 1973 dad became the luckiest man in the world when he married our mom. Beginning their life of 48 years together. Mom was just so thankful that Dad showed up to the wedding.
Mom and Dad were blessed with a new son, Daniel James (April) in May of ‘75. A couple short years later, David Paul (Michell) was born. Mom worked her hardest raising us boys. You could only imagine what a feat that was, bless her heart. She was definitely the rock in our family.
Moms most driving force is of course all her grandchildren; Aleigha, Evan, Cassandra, Brooklynn, Abragaea, Aurabella, Airalilli, Jordan, Zoe, Taylor, Dayne, Kylie, and her great grandchild Grayson. All of whom she was very proud of.
Everyone that has ever had the utmost pleasure of knowing this beautiful spirit describes mom as the sweetest, kind hearted most caring person they’ve ever met.
Her radiant smile and enormously loving heart will forever shine on us all.
