Myrna Marlow Starbird

Myrna Marlow Starbird, our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, passed away April 2, 2025 with her entire family by her side. Myrna was born on March 29, 1940 in Glasgow Montana to parents, Hjalmar (Boyd) and Beatrice Hedalen. She married the love of her life, Robert Lewis Starbird on August 30, 1955. Soon after they welcomed their children, Robert, Donald, Ronald and Vickie. Bob’s work moved them from California back to Montana then to New Mexico until they finally settled in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1965 . Myrna was a loving mom who stayed home and raised her children. When they were old enough, she began her 27 year career at Christ Lutheran Day Care where she made lasting friendships with her co-workers. She was a dedicated member of Christ Lutheran Church for 59 years and a member of the church “Quilters” for the past 21 years. She looked forward to those Tuesday gatherings with her quilting buddies. Myrna lived life to the fullest making friends wherever she went and leaving a lasting impression. She was always there whenever and wherever she was needed. Family was her life. She gave ger heart to each and every one of us until the end. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her sons Donald and Ronald , her brothers Mervyn and Bernard and her sister Deannie. She will be greatly missed and survived by her son Robert D. Starbird (Karen) and her daughter Vickie Vitale, her Grandchildren, Robert Starbird (Rachel), Jared Starbird (Alexa), Joshua Starbird, Ashley Starbird, Cody Starbird, Joseph Vitale (Ashlyn), Kaylee Vitale Putney (Brent), and Jeremy Vitale, her Great Grandchildren, Robert Jace Starbird, Rylie Starbird, Cooper Vitale and Marlow Putney as well as many nieces and nephews.
