Michael Anthony Wright

Michael was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on April 25, 1968 to Marinus and Judith Wright. He grew up in Scenic Lakes in Vernon, New Jersey. Michael attended Wilkes University and earned a degree in electrical engineering in 1990. He married Donna, his high school sweetheart, on September 22, 1990 and shortly after they welcomed their first son Michael on November 10, 1992. On June 2, 1995, they welcomed their second son Christopher into the world.

Michael was reliable, hardworking, and had a sense of humor that could brighten the darkest of rooms. He enjoyed traveling and creating unforgettable memories with family and friends.

Michael was a lover of sports as both a player and avid fan. In high school he was a varsity baseball player and member of the bowling team. He later coached little league and participated in bowling leagues, going on to bowl a perfect game. He was a loyal supporter of the New York Yankees, Vegas Golden Knights, and the New York Giants.

Michael is survived by his parents; his loving wife of 34 years, Donna Wright; sons Michael Wright, Jr. and Christopher Wright and his wife Caitlin; mother-in-law Christine Mencke; sister Judith Wright; brother-in-law Thomas Boutieller and his wife Nicole, nephews Dylan Boutieller and his wife Alissa and Trevor Boutieller; niece Jessica Teetsel and her husband Nicholas; aunts Susan DePadua and Natalie Scagilotta; and a multitude of loving cousins back east.

Michael lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering determination, leaving behind a legacy that will be missed and cherished by all who knew him.

We will be honoring Michael’s memory on April 6, 2025 at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, 7400 W Cheyenne Ave. Viewing begins at 2pm followed by a funeral service at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
