He was born June 12, 1943 in Duluth, Minnesota to Virginia and Joseph Trotta. His loving wife, to whom he was married, Barbara (Wehvila) Trotta survives him.
Surviving him are his three daughters, Nikki (Keith) Gross, Marilyn Trotta, and Michele Berry; grandchildren, Sabrina (Justin) Ferguson, Blake Gross, Dakota Dietz, Maranna (Corwin) Thompson, Michael Berry, and Kristina Trotta; great-grandchildren Kinsley Ferguson, Valor Thompson, Grace Thompson, and Hunter Thompson. He is also survived by his sister Gail Trotta; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Joseph Trotta; his sister, Kay Elden, and his son James Trotta.
He served in the Navy. He worked as a welder, and later worked many years in real estate as a broker/manager. He then retired and moved from Duluth, Minnesota to Las Vegas, Nevada and as a hobby, worked part-time at Bass Pro Shop in wood-working and building displays. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed constructing and building projects, working with wood, and playing blackjack in his free time.
