In memory of my dear brother, Micheal.

Desiderata:
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Mike its been a while since you been left; I still think about you, how long we stayed on the phone laughing about everything That was Laughable. Mike, I found out from butch Ronny passed away a few years ago; I was surprised to hear that. I just wanted to drop a few can't forget you, not words. You continue to rest, Mike. Pie,you were the best brother a guy could have. Not only were you a brother but you were a father figure as well as my brother.You always watched over family, and only a few know how close you and i were.You were my BEST friend and i miss dearly,the only thing that keeps me going is i know you want me to take on your role. This will be difficult but from what you taught and showed me you know i will try my best. I know the Lord is now your savior, but i will love you forever. Mike, I know I said I wouldn't leave anymore note or letters I just had to post this one to ya. around this time of the year you and I would get on the phone and talk about what we were going to cook for Christmas. you would say Big was going to cook a ham, turkey, and everything went with it. we would talk about what trish would buy you for a gift. the most important thing about Christmas to you were your grand kids Justin, and Liberty. you made sure you got them their gifts. Mike you were a great granddad. Mike I don't know if they celebrate Xmas in heaven, but if they do Merry xmas to my BFF and give God a shout out for me, tell him thank him for everything he has done for all of us. I'm not going to say by Mike, cause by mean for ever. I will see you again

Mike this will be my last note from me to you, until I see you again, when you and I will be walking around in heaven all day. I know when your Spirit took flight on Oct 26, and you look down at that body that gave you pain and problems. you looked at your hands, and your hands looked new, and when you looked at you feet your feet did too. you got a new body Mike! this is a old spiritual song my mom would sing a lot, I thought I would share it. gee! Mike! I'm a little jealous you saw King Jesus before I did. I read in the Bible it's beautiful there. Jesus told his disciples John 14:2 in my father house  are many of ''Mansions'' that means a lot of rooms for who all who come to Jesus as savior you came to him I know you have seen all of the rooms, Mansions. have you seen all the Angeles that praise God all day? I read in Isaiah 6:3 the Angeles praise him all day saying Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts The whole earth is full of his glory. WOW Mike! I know that is something beautiful to see and hear HUH? I know you are at a awa  looking at the beauty of God. now! aren't you happy I was obedient to God to come to Minister salvation to you? in 2 Corinthians4:8 we are confident, well please to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. you are with him now, and I must let you go now, I will see you again. as you would have said ''YOU KNOW''!!... I love you my best friend/ brother!!

To my Family in Las Vegas,,.  Auntie Charlie I love you and am praying for you and the entire family.  I am so happy that cousin Mike gave his life to Christ before his transition....to God be the Glory.  For we know he is in the best hands and yes all who have accepted Christ as Savior will see him again.  Be encouraged and trust that God will get you all through this.  We serve a great God who makes no mistakes.  Love you all so much!  Remember to keep God first in your lives. Niece of Charlie V. Johnson

I knew I love you like you were my brother, this pain in my heart is so painful, but I ask God to help me to bare this. I thank God he aloud me to see you before he took you home to be with him. Mike I know I will see you again but right now it's so hard to say good by.. Love you my best friend/ brother. as you would say ''YOU KNOW''

This note is to my best friend, and brother in Christ Michael Johnson. Michael and I met about 8 years ago at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, through his Cousin Ronnie, whom is my former spouse. Mike made me feel like a blood relative instead of a family by law. Mike ( A.K.A; "Spanky") was a kind and giving person; not just materially, but also through his love for others. Spanky as we called him had a sense of humor in the way that when you was down and having a bad day, he would say something funny that would make you laugh. He saw life as the glass being "half full" when you'd feel as if it was "half empty". He would make you feel like, when the day was cloudy, he would just brighten it up. We would always call each other on a daily basis and talk until the early mornings. We would just talk, and crack jokes about "back in the days"! When those calls began to diminish, I felt in my heart that something was amiss. I'd call and would only get his voice mail, and that was not like Mike to not answer, or return my calls. Until one weeks ago, my feelings were confirmed, when I called and his brother answered and told me that Mike was in the hospital. I asked his brother if he needed me to help in any ways, that I would be glad to; Then the Lord spoke through the Holy Spirit to me that I should go and pray with him. I went to the hospital to see Mike, and he was in a state of lethargy through the medications he was given. I spoke to him and he did not respond, until I whispered loudly in his ear "Negro wake up! (Lol); the Lord sent me to minister salvation to you". When I said that, Michael's eyes just popped open. I asked him if he could hear me, to squeeze my hands, or squint his eyes; and he squinted his right eye. I ministered salvation to him, and he surrendered his heart to Jesus Christ, so to all of you inquiring minds that want to know, Mike is in the Glory of God!! I love Mike, and am really going to miss him, and our daily long chats! I'm offering my condolence to the family and I pray that God would comfort you all during this moment of grief. I thank God that he gave me the opportunity to minister to Mike and lead him to Christ. I want to extend my sincere apologies for not being able to attend Mike's going home celebration in person, but I'm there in spirit, and I rejoice that He is in the presence of the Lord. To God be the Glory! And as  Mike would say,... "You Know"!!
