Michael F. Guerin, 62, of North Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 14, 2010. He was born Oct. 7, 1947, in Kingman, Ariz., and was a longtime resident of Nevada. Michael was a retired letter carrier for the Federal government and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers #2502 and Boy Scouts of America. Michael is survived by his wife, Patti Guerin; sons, Michael P. (Lisa) Guerin of Henderson , and David R. (Nidia) Guerin of Las Vegas; daughter, Julie M. (John) Shonkwiler of Las Vegas; grandson, Jonathan (Corianne) Guerin of Henderson; granddaughter, Kaitlyn; grandsons, David Jr. and Logan; great-grandson, Everett; brothers, Robert (Cathy) Guerin of Las Vegas, Ernest (Dahlia) Guerin of North Las Vegas, and Edward (Coleen) Guerin of Las Vegas; and sister, Eleanor (Jack) Ewing of Henderson. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m., at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City.
