Melissa Marie Pierce

Melissa Marie Pierce, 50, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away June 1, 2014, peacefully in her sleep. She was born July 23, 1963 in Houston, Texas. She also lived in Colorado and Arizona during her adolescence before settling down in Las Vegas, Nevada and having a daughter. She had beautiful, sensitive soul and was loving, compassionate, generous, and selfless. In late 1997, Melissa and her daughter moved to Omaha, Nebraska where they lived for sixteen years. Winter, once again, became her favorite time of year when she was near the snow and could snuggle up with her cats and watch movies all day. Melissa moved back to Las Vegas just seven months ago with her daughter and one year old grandson, to be near the rest of her family again. The bond between Melissa and her daughter was powerful and unbreakable. She always said that her purpose in life was her daughter, and nothing made her heart more happy than when she was laughing with her daughter and grandson. Melissa leaves behind her daughter, Rebecca Pierce, and grandson, Riley.
