Maurine Sullivan Morley returned to the arms of her sweetheart and to her Heavenly Father on September 12, 2014. She was born on July 22, 1927 in Layton, Utah to Daniel Arthur Sullivan and Ida Alder Robins. She married Leonard Perry Morley on March 22, 1946 in Layton, Utah and they were later sealed in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on September 3, 1947.
She showed exemplary service in the community as well as her church. She was dedicated to her church and served in many capacities including the Primary organization, Relief Society and was a temple worker for many years at the LDS Las Vegas Temple.
She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to visit with family, friends and those she met with no one ever being a stranger. She loved to sew and work in her yard; but what she loved the most was attending events of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participated in. her favorite past time was watching sports, especially baseball. When you visit her home, she would always offer to feed you.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 57 years, brother, Eugene Sullivan and sister, Bernice Earl.
Maurine is survived by her 3 children, Paul (Ginny) Morley, Kevin (Laurel) Morley, and Suzette (Lynn) Robins; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Mann; many nieces and nephews who loved her as their own mother and all who adopted her as their surrogate mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A special thank you to all at A+ Home Health and Hospice for the loving care you gave to mom and her family in her final days.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, from 5-7pm at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. Funeral service will be held Friday, September 19 at the LDS Chapel, 3400 W Charleston at 11:00 am with an hour visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donation to Clear Horizon Academy for children with autism would be appreciated in support of her great grandson Collin Ryan Sullivan and Clear Horizon Academy, 1875 S Geneva Rd. , Orem, Utah 84058.
