Mary Thomas, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, passed away February 26, 2018 at the age of 73. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she lived in Las Vegas for 50 years and worked as a purchasing agent at the Sands Hotel & Casino, where she met her surviving and loving husband of 37 years, Michael Thomas. Mary Kay will be deeply missed by her brother William Golas (Marlene) of Las Vegas, brother Robert Golas (Patricia) of Las Vegas, and brother Kenneth Golas of Arkansas; son Eric Swanis (Tiffany) of Las Vegas; daughter Jessica Miller of Newport Beach, California; grandchildren Nathan, Katelyn, Hannah, and Audrey Swanis and Garrett Miller; her Alaskan Malamute “Kota;” as well as everyone that knew her. A homemaker for the last 25 years, she enjoyed her family, sewing, crafting, and listening to John Denver music, often traveling to Aspen for his annual celebration of life and music festival. Rest in peace, Mary Kay. You will remain in our hearts forever and we have been blessed to have had you in our lives.
