Mary Ann Bock-Liston, age 81, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013, with family by her side. She was born on a farm on March 2, 1932, in Toivola, MN, to William Bock and Marie Makitalo Bock. Mary Ann grew up in Duluth, MN, and while attending Denfeld HS she met the love of her life, Patrick Liston, Sr. They married on October 4, 1952, and had three children, Jeff, Kathy and Pat Jr. In 1964, they moved their young family to Las Vegas where Pat went to work for the Las Vegas Sheriff’s Office (LVMPD) and Mary Ann went to work for Clark County Juvenile Court, retiring after 21 years. In their retirement years, Pat and Mary Ann enjoyed travelling, especially spending summers in Duluth, visiting with family and friends and always attending their high school reunion celebrations. Even though they lived more years in Las Vegas than in Duluth, their heart was always in Duluth. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Pat; son, Pat, Jr.; and daughter, Kathy. She is survived by her son, Jeff (Janice); grandchildren Jennifer, Jeff, Jr. (Sandy), Jamie (Bob), Crystal, Honey (Ian) and Jimmy; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Helen; brothers, Bob and Tom; half-brothers, Chris and John and many other relatives in the Duluth area. In September, a family service will be held at Palm on Eastern. We take comfort in knowing you are with dad, Pat & Kathy. We love you and will miss you forever – mom, grandma, sister, and friend.
