Marty Raucher lived a full life of 84 years surrounded by his family and his devoted wife, Carmen. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and stepfather/father-in-law. Marty is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carmen Raucher, his son, Steven Raucher and daughter-in-law Donna Raucher, his daughter Julie Hughes and husband Robert Hughes, and daughter, Sharon Silverstein. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Tara Raucher and her fiancé Nathan Shoup, Zack Raucher and his wife, Valerie Raucher, Trevor Silverstein, and Rose and Luke Hughes.
Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Rose Raucher.
Marty had a long career as an accountant and controller, most recently at Global Promotional Sourcing, where he retired after 18 years. Marty loved the Las Vegas lifestyle, frequenting South Point and Sunset Station to play blackjack. He loved photography, a passion he pursued his whole life. He enjoyed spending time listening to Sharon sing. Marty appreciated all types of music, and it was important to him. He was fascinated with old Las Vegas, loved the Godfather movies, all things electronics, and enjoyed visiting Disneyland and New Orleans where he spent his 80th birthday.
Marty will be laid to rest in King David Cemetery on Sunday, July 30th at 9:30 am. 2697 E Eldorado Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89120. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Nathan Adelson Hospice. The family wishes to extend our sincerest thanks to Nathan Adelson Hospice for their care of Marty in his final days.
