My journey has taken me to an everlasting place. I was born May 2, 1957 and heaven bound October 12, 2018. Born in Chicago, I grew up being a die-hard Cubs and Bears fan. I joined the Navy and was on board the USS IOW JIMA. After serving, it was time to move out west to Las Vegas.
It was here I met the love of my life Heidi (Aldrich) Anton who married me on December 18, 1982. We were blessed with three children. My name sake, also born on my birthday, Marc J. Anton II (Jenny), then I got my princess, Angela K. Leahy (Michael) and then to make my family complete my son Stephen G. Anton (Lori).
My family means everything to me. Our motto is F A M I L Y "Forget About Me I Love You". My greatest joy was becoming Papa to my littlest princess Emilee Marie Leahy, and my grandson Ethan Michael Leahy.
I have deep faith in God and I enjoyed going to church. Through my church I served Thanksgiving meals to those that were homebound and others within the community.
One of my treasured moments included times that I coached kids in sports. I was especially proud of hosting nine Breast Cancer Fundraisers and walking 60 miles in two of the Susan Komen walks.
My fondest memories I take with me are of my friends and family and the good times we all enjoyed together. Some of my favorite past times included singing karaoke, being a "Big Shot", and collecting things such as sports memorabilia, die cast cars and everything else.
What I got pleasure from was making sure those around me were having a good time. So let there be no goodbyes, just the loving memories of a lifetime in our hearts. Yes, I think to myself "What a Wonderful World".
As I joined my family who left before me, my parents Steve Anton Sr. and Mary (Kryza) Anton, and my big brother Stephen Anton Jr.
I wish my memories to be carried on by my sisters Diane Dues (Jack), Jo-Nell Anton, and my brother Alan Anton as well as all my nieces, nephews and those that I call "family".
I will be watching over you, till we are together again.
