Mother, the center of our family universe,
She gave to our children their first breath of life,
The first light of day, and the first food to nurse,
And protected them from illness and danger and strife.
Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother this day,
They all love and respect you for the goodness you show,
And honor your counsel for showing the way
To respect and good living in their lives as they grow.
You’re a Mother of Mothers and high honors are due
For the love and the patience you have shown for each one;
Life’s problems and accomplishments, they can share them with you,
