Marjorie “Margie” Butler, 85, of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020. She was born November 12, 1934, in a little farmhouse, in Waynesboro, GA, and was a resident of Las Vegas for 58 years.
Margie was a retired R/N, and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Las Vegas for 14 years. She loved working in Vacation Bible School teaching arts and crafts to the little ones. Margie had a heart for missions, especially for Lottie Moon. Margie loved more than anything her family. She doted over her great-grandchildren in these past years. Always a smile on her face when she saw them.
Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence “Larry Butler”, her parents Andy and Louise Martin, brother Jimmy Martin, and sister Shirley Jones.
She is survived by her daughters, Shari Butler and Leigh (Rick) Medina, and son, Craig (Stacy) Butler; sister Mary (Michael) Martin-Norman; grandchildren, Christan (Matt) Medina-Hampton, Erin (Yonatan) Saavedra-Medina, Alexandra Butler, Bronte (James) Barrett, and Savannah Butler; great-grandchildren, Elijah Medina, Stassi Saavedra-Medina, Layla Saavedra-Medina, Avery Butler and Landon Hampton; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at First Baptist Church, 4400 W Oakey Blvd.
Interment with follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave.
