You left us almost 3 years ago to go to Heaven  but for all of us it is like yesterday. We miss you so much, you were such special man and husband for me I think of you everyday and tears are with me, It is so hard to live without you.   A loving husband, honest man, always looking for the happiness of our family, such a giver, trying to make people happy. I love you Mario for ever and ever Amen🙏🙏🙏♥️

December 2nd 2024 Happy Anniversary in Heaven my love.
  December 2nd 1961 was the most happy day in our lives when we got marry at San Juan Bosco Catholic Church in Chile. From that date to July 2022 we were always together loving each other day and night. I miss you every day, I miss your love, your friendship I miss your hugs, your company and also your sense of humor. I love you so much. 🙏🙏❤️❤️🥂

You are always in my heart and is going to be 2 years since you left us.  I miss you so much, the pain does not go away but I try to do my very best. What other option is there for me?

I miss you so much daddy! You were an amazing friend & example to all in life. I treasure the funny finds & gifts you left me in the last 6 yrs you often visited me to bring me joy! They mean so much to me today as I realize they were all representative of what heaven must be like for you today. A lovely Waterfall & swans, the pretty angels you bought are perched in a spot where I see them daily to remind me of you. The strong wooden eagles & trinkets you gifted me simply to cheer me on in what life presented in recent years.  You were so kind to me to believe in me so profoundly that I now realize I wish it had me that left this earth as I would have died so that you could live longer! How I wish I could have negotiated with God on this for you are TRULY MISSED BY EVERYONE!
I wish to never forget your beautiful smile, your happy laugh, your silly jokes & most importantly I just hope to never forget your voice that was special to me. You spoke so well of others & always had wisdom towards teaching us important lessons. 

I miss you each & everyday since you left for heaven. I feel a part of me died when you left us as I am incomplete without my dad. You were my dearest family friend. You were my best friend in so many ways as I knew I could always trust you. You never let me down & never left my side during tough years you checked on me 3-4times a week in person just to make sure I was alright.  Covid did not keep you away & I always adored knowing you were here to just say hi & hang out! I miss making your snack “charcuterie” assortments of new things to try! I miss hearing you say: “wow that combination is delicious Annie! “what is that cheese called” or “where did you find this amazing fruit” you loved whatever I displayed to get you to eat healthier. You always were just happier to be be visiting & know I needed you. You were the best father I could have asked for in life! I used to tell you how much we loved you, however did you know that I would miss you so

Mario Sr. You were so happy seeing this little one. A Diaz finally !  Today Hudson is 12 years old and loves  his last name, very proud of it. 
At his age is already praying to have a baby boy in the future to be a Diaz. 
You loved babies so much, every time that I was expecting one you were thrilled with the news.  This is why all of them love  you and miss you so much.  You were so special my love I miss you every day. ❤️❤️

Very handsome husband , classy, friendly, kind and generous respecting everybody crossing his path.  Great professional believing so much in education, always advising our grandchildren to work hard in the school and become  professionals. Three of them are already great professionals, two soon will be and the little one is just 12 years old now but He will too.  Abuelito’s dream will become true. 
He also volunteered visiting local schools talking to students the importance of the education during “ The pay back program.”

My life was changed so much after you passed.  I look at myself and ask what happened ? !! In only three weeks the love of my life was gone! All  the sudden you are not here with me and if this was not enough you took part of my heart to Heaven with you.  It is exactly 1 year and 9 months since you left me and every day I miss you. You were my boyfriend for 4 years and my husband for 61 years, I really do not know how I am still here without you.  So many tears  but happy that you are not in my situation because loosing the spouse is the most traumatic experience and we need to be very strong to make it.  The Lord has his plan,  I respect it  but I still do not understand it. ❤️❤️🙏🙏. I love you so much for ever and ever. 🙏

A new season begins again. You had a love of spring & flowers & photography. When I shared these photos with you, your response was “hummingbirds are some of the geniuses of our universe & they are so intelligent they can hover & fly backwards & they love sweets too!”...  How I wish to fly backwards in time to give you one last meaningful hug. You loved nature, you treasured the beauty of photos & most importantly you admired the magnificent artwork of the best artist we’ve never seen before …God! 
You admired what God gives us daily by all living beings & the beauty to be found in nature.  You truly appreciated a well captured photo & most of all you believed nature was most healing to all specially if a little down or perhaps sick & trying to recover. “ Allow yourself to sit in the sunlight & see a hummingbird in its element & all its glory!”

These days I often am followed by hummingbirds & I think of you immediately.  I hope one day when I join you we will fly again together & laugh those hearty laughs I miss so much. 

You were my hummingbird in life - always on the go, happy to be whistling, nibbling on something sweet was your favorite snack & just sharing happy joy to everyone around you.  You were appreciated & loved by so many!

Wish I had recorded your beautiful ability to whistle like no one I have heard in all my life! Any classical song could be outdone by you.  You had tremendous talents & intellect in so many things throughout your life. Your best quality was simply being an admirable father, son, husband, neighbor, friend, grandfather and a genuine child of God to all!!
I hope you get to fly like a hummingbird & enjoy the immense beauty heaven created just for you! I know you are sharing jokes & making God laugh as well!!!

When I visit the ocean today, you are always there! Not just in memories of our love of the ocean, camping trips, sand castles or even clam digging at the ocean. Although you are now in heaven, the signs of YOU appear in the most unexpected ways as gifts to me now. You were my lifeguard in life-throughout my life. Our love of the beach & watching fireworks or building a campfire after learning to fish - was at the Pacific Ocean.  I learned to dive into ocean waves fearlessly because of you! You did so much & so bravely as U.S immigrant in the early 70’s, as a young professional & as a fearless father telling us “dive into waves with faith NOT fear…dive through the waves & you’ll come out on the other side just fine! - stronger because God will protect you!” You & 3 young girls scared & excited as you taught each how to dive into waves at the ocean.  In life today, I hear those same words: “hold onto me, as I will carry you through!”
Those important memories of your beautiful spirit as a young adult, in a new country, succeeding so far beyond what others’ expectations were. God always guided you in life. You were the bravest man I’ve ever known & there will never be someone that I could admire more! You were the lifesaver to so many & you led by example, achieving admiration & accolades because of your faith to God. 
Each morning your day began in prayer. You kissed the photos of beloved & each day ended with love for your beloved wife that you adored throughout your marriage & praised her as the greatest woman you could have chosen! The love you gave your wife & to all your children was true example of what marriage really requires in life … FAITHFULNESS … wise requirements with compassion, commitment & above all else - undying love.  For you, there was nothing greater than to sit at the dinner table with family present & share about the day. You valued family first & helped save MANY people through educational programs. You were genuine lifesaver to many!

Treasure the memories of your photography in photos of long ago! You explained “flowers are like people - they are all divine works of God & each has unique beauty in God’s artistry in nature  for us all!”

After 60 years of marriage, they still held hands and were always by each other’s side.

Thankful that my children had the privilege of having their grandfather in their lives.   They will always love and cherish  their “Ito.” ❤️

After visiting Mario Jr. and family in Sugar Land Texas, we visited Roxana and family in Rocklin California, We continued  to Washington state, Gig Harbor where we spent the 4th of July with family and their friends.  Next day it was our 52 years living in USA. 

My dad visiting me in Rocklin. He would wake up every morning and prepare his cup of coffee and make himself a sandwich. This was his favorite time of the day! So happy that I have this moment in time to remember him by. ♥️ I love you dad. You were not supposed to go this fast. 💐

Today, three weeks ago you left Mario, leaving me crying since then. You were my husband, my love and my loyal friend, I miss you so much.  Every day my eyes are flooded by tears of pain, there are so many memories during those 61 years of marriage. I Thank you for loving me so much, for your loyalty as a husband and friend for the good father, grandfather and great grandfather you were, we all remember you with so much love and gratitud. Thank you my love, I know the Lord received you with open arms in Heaven because you won it, you worked for it all your life. You will be my husband for ever and ever. Amen. 🙏🙏

I will remember Mario's love and passion for family (we are ALL his family!) and a Chilean Carménère. Mario's generosity with his time, expertise, and guidance to the American Concrete Institute are reflected in the strong relationships ACI has throughout Latin America. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. From the many stories I have heard over the years about Mr. Diaz, it is so clear that he was the definition of a true gentleman.  My sincere condolences for the loss of the patriarch of your family and a wonderful man.

Vivió siempre feliz y su alegría la transmitía a los que tuvimos la suerte de conocer a la familia Díaz Loyola. Siempre mirando el lado bueno de las cosas, transmitiendo su alegría de vivir y buscando como ayudar al prójimo.

Riéndonos de su compulsiva necesidad de comprar cualquier oferta y poniendo cara de santo ante Norma. Y quizás lo mas importante era su alegría de vivir y gran amor y preocupación por el bienestar de su familia.

Los que tuvimos la suerte de conocerlo nunca los vimos molesto y por el contrario siempre feliz de la vida y dispuesto a ayudar al prójimo.

Caminaste por largos inviernos y veranos,
también por bellos paisajes  sin temor,
asi, hoy  finalmente llegas
a la calma y al calor del Creador.

Tu preocupación  por los amigos nunca fue suficiente
ni las tardes con tu esposa en vuestro comedor.
A lejanas tierras emigraste con ella glorioso,
todo lo lograste con tu espíritu emprendedor. 

Nos entregaste una linda amistad 
que unió a  muchos en Chile y el exterior,
eres aquel amigo que no se olvida

Lamentamos tanto la partida de nuestro gran amigo Mario...que Dios acompañe y de fuerza  a Norma y a tan linda familia, para que el camino se alivie y puedan seguir adelante. Fueron tantos los momentos compartidos de buena mesa, buena conversa, risa,  e incondicional apoyo y ayuda.  Que tengas un buen viaje amigo.., nos volveremos a encontrar.

Los caminos de Di-s no son los caminos del hombre ... Di-s es bueno, de él no puede salir nada malo, él da la vida y la quita ... bendito sea su nombre BH (Baruj Hashem).  Tuve muy pocas oportunidades de  compartir con Mario en vida ... pero lo bueno de los milagros es que ocurren. Estos últimos años sentí la necesidad de volver a recuperar a Mario e iniciar una relación más estrecha, aunque a la distancia ... Di-s escuchó mis rezos y Norma (mi cuñada) estuvo disponible para hacer de nexo con él. Las horas sumadas de conversaciones me hicieron mucho bien a mi y creo a Mario también. Por esos buenos consejos de un hermano mayor agradezco. Sus virtudes y buenos ejemplos nos acompañen siempre. Di-s consuele a Norma, sus hijos, nietos y familia.

Gracias a mi Padrino y tío Mario, porque a pesar de toda la distancia, con sus consejos, apoyo y amor brindó a mi vida mucha luz y hermosos valores.
