Manny Camaso Bajamunde, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 58. He was born on April 28, 1965, to Eulogio and Maximiana Bajamunde in Caloocan City, Philippines.
Manny was one of nine siblings, deeply loved by his brothers and sisters: Efrina (Narding) Cleofas, Rodelio (Elizabeth) Bajamunde, Rolando (Prescilla) Bajamunde, Teresita (Romualdo) Marcos, Josephine (Theodore) Murillo, Marilou (Jenny) Defino, Mary Ann (Armstrong) Tagalog, and Mary Grace (Ramil) Salvador.
He pursued his education with dedication and earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Manuel L Quezon University in Manila after graduating from the Philippines Union College. Manny dedicated 13 years of his career as a field technician for The Gaming Company in Las Vegas, NV where his expertise and commitment shone brightly.
On May 12, 1991, Manny married his beautiful love of his life, Daisy Bajamunde, embarking on a journey filled with love, laughter, and endless devotion. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and compassion, where their children, Krizha Mae (Shranil) Kumar, Kathlene-Mae (David) Darden, and Kevin Marc Bajamunde, flourished under their guidance and unwavering support. Manny took immense pride in his role as a father, nurturing his children's dreams and celebrating their achievements with boundless joy. As a grandfather, Manny's love knew no bounds. His face would light up with sheer delight in the presence of his grandchildren, Arya Shae Kumar, Zion Aryan Kumar, Kailyn Mae Darden, Nysha Ruth Kumar, DJ, and Kweli Darden. He cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom, sharing stories, and creating precious memories that will forever live on in their hearts. Manny's love for his grandchildren was deep, and his legacy of love and admiration will continue to inspire generations to come.
Manny's culinary skills were legendary, and he delighted in cooking for his family. Known affectionately as "The Cook," Manny spent countless hours perfecting dishes, often modifying them to accommodate the preferences of his sons-in-law and spoiled wife.
He had a passion for singing and karaoke, and he enjoyed playing volleyball and basketball. His favorite basketball teams were the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Toyota Philippine Basketball Team.
His adventurous spirit led him to explore various parts of the world, from Europe to Asia and across the United States.
A devout Catholic, Manny was actively involved in his faith community. He was a member of the Couples for Christ in L.A. and the Las Vegas chapter of The Knights of Columbus, where he found joy in serving others and strengthening his faith.
Manny was a selfless son who cherished his parents deeply, always striving to bring them happiness and comfort, whether through small acts of kindness, spending quality time together, or providing for their needs with unwavering dedication and love.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Manny's memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, humor, unwavering love, and a multitude of admirable traits including his friendliness, honesty, caring nature, generosity, confidence, humility, optimism, reliability, creativity, patience, responsibility, outgoing personality, loyalty, respectfulness, adventurous spirit, determination, compassion, consideration, open-mindedness, supportiveness, independence, and trustworthiness. His friends, who were an integral part of his life, will forever cherish the memories they shared, grateful for his unwavering friendship and companionship.
A visitation for Manny will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 3-7 PM with a memory sharing period beginning at 6pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2PM, all at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas.
