adored.
He was always young at heart and you could never tell him he was old, no matter his
age, and you could never win an argument. Ben was a World War II Veteran in the Army
medical division. He then worked and retired from the United States Postal Services after 30
years.
Ben was a husband, a father, an Uncle, a Grandpa, a friend, and an all-around wholesomely
good, mild-mannered man. He met and married Molly Flo-Ana Fields on September 14,
1946. Ben took great care of the love of his life throughout their 72 years together before her
passing in February of 2019. Ben is also preceded by his daughter Janette Mae Lacy who passed
in December of 2016.
Ben and Flo will live on through their remaining 5 children Louis B Wheeler IV, Jacqueline
Goldston, Joshlyn Duckett, Donald Wheeler and Jeresa Liddell. As well as through the lives and
stories told by their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.palmsouthjones.com for the Wheeler family.
