Louis was born on August 12, 1933 in Byron, Nebraska to John P. Reinke of Byron, Nebraska and Minna Reinke (Meyer) of Westervesede, Germany amongst 7 other siblings. He acquired his G.E.D. with the United States Armed Forces Institute, European Branch. He continued his service with the United Stated Armed Forces, serving his Country in Germany as an aircraft mechanic on the L19. He returned home from his deployment in Germany where he went onto serving in the reserves and married Phyllis Bock on February 18, 1961. Louis and Phyllis started a family of two boys, Kevin and Kent, in Nebraska and moved to Longmont, CO where Kendra, their daughter was born. During this time Louis mastered carpentry in framing and interior trim and built many homes and cabins in Breckenridge, Grand Lake, Red Feather Lake, CO including his family home in Longmont, CO as well as Sedona, AZ. Louis and Phyllis eventually ended up in Las Vegas, NV where he continued his passion in carpentry and interior trim, specifically with custom door installation.
Louis is preceded in death by his parents and the following siblings: sister - Francis Ludwig (Reinke), brother - Lawrence Reinke, sister - Irene Gibson (Reinke).
Louis is survived by his remaining siblings: brother - Orvil Reinke, sister - Eunice Horrocks (Reinke), sister - Joan Jones (Reinke) and brother - Lester Reinke all of Nebraska. He is also survived by his loving children and grandchildren as follows: son - Kevin Reinke (wife Georgina) of CA, son - Kent Reinke (wife Angie) of CO, daughter - Kendra Copatch (husband Ryan) of NV and his treasured grandchildren Jakob, Ryan, Kaley, Jordan, Marissa and Viktoria.
Cremation has been entrusted to Palm Mortuary @www.palmeastern.com . In lieu of flowers, Louis’s family asks that donations be made to your local humane society or at secure.aspsca.org on his behalf.
