Lani was born on January 15, 1942, in Maui, Hawaii, the daughter of Emeliano and Ida Valle. Lani attended local schools on Maui. Upon graduation Lani left her beautiful home for the mainland and resided with her older brother in the Bay Area, working full time at Sears and Roebuck. During this time Lani met and ultimately married her first husband, Chuck Casson, a Navy man. Together they had 3 wonderful girls who they cherished dearly. As a female minority, Lani had a lengthy career as a Financial Manager with Link Flight Simulation in the Silicon Valley. Lani met another Navy man, Tony Drew, and they were married in February of 1990 in Reno, Nevada. They resided in Modesto, California and relocated to Hollis, Maine after retirement. In Maine, they started a drag racing team and made many close bonds in the community. Lani also worked for 22 years at Creighton & Sons Wholesale Florist. In November of 2021 Lani and Tony relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada.
She is survived by her husband Tony Drew.
Siblings: Ernest, Reggie, Velma, Hailani, Butchie and Scotty.
Daughters: Darlene (husband Ron Jensen), Terri and Audra.
Grandchildren: Alyssa, Vanessa, Samantha, Jordan and Tyler.
Great grandchildren Zoey, Zayn, Kai and Shay.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her eldest brother, Emeliano Junior.
Lani was blessed with a very large family; nephews, nieces and cousins all of whom she dearly loved.
Services will be held October 28, 2023 at East Palm Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada from 4pm – 8pm.
Flowers can be sent to the mortuary the day of the service, or in lieu of flowers a donation to the SPCA in her name.
A memorial visitation for Loretta will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A memorial service will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A reception will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
