Loretta attended Woodward public schools before embarking on a career as a nurse. Taking care of other people’s needs before her own brought great pleasure to Loretta. Loretta’s big heart and big warm smile brought much joy to her family and her patients.
Loretta looked forward to spending time with her loving husband and best friend, Roger Coffey. Decorating her home for the holidays and planning the next year holiday theme was always exciting and fun-loving to her. She also loved spoiling her grandkids, telling her daughter to get a jacket, and most of all making sure those around her were happy and knew they were loved.
Preceding Loretta in death were her parents, Francis and Alice Spake; her two brothers, Rick and William Spake; her sister, Leann Shawn; and her two sons, Jesse Whiteman and Cauley Coffey. Loretta is survived by her husband of 20 years, Roger Coffey; two daughters, Shawn Coffey and Billie Cunningham; granddaughter, Rylee Dukes; two special nephews, Stetson Pierce and Dalton Shawn; two special nieces, Krystan Pierce and Jamie Shawn. A memorial to celebrate Loretta’s life will be forth coming.
