Lila Blocker Akridge, 73, of Las Vegas, passed away June 20, 2013, at Summerlin Hospital. She was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Midland, Texas, the daughter of the late Noma and Horace Blocker. She was the youngest of four siblings. She married Eddy Akridge Dec. 24, 1962 and was a resident of Las Vegas since 1970. Lila was preceded in death by her husband, of 48 years, Eddy Akridge; and her son, Corky Neal Akridge. Lila is survived by her son, Dale Ray Akridge of Las Vegas; brothers, Spencer Blocker of Midland, Texas, Norman Blocker of Albuquerque, N.M., and Corky Blocker of Stanton, Texas; and stepdaughter, Danna Miller of Las Vegas.
