It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Leslie Marie Miller, a beloved member of the LVMPD family. Leslie served as a Law Enforcement Support Technician (LEST) with the Detention Services Division for 24 years, dedicating herself to supporting her colleagues and her community. Her kind spirit, candid humor, and compassionate heart made a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Leslie was more than her career—she was a devoted mother to her three children, Marisa, Colby, and Connor, whom she described as her greatest accomplishment and source of pride. She was also a loving sister to Dominic Gallo (retired Metro Corrections Officer) and Cindy Gilespie, and the cherished daughter of Patricia Gallo. Her fur babies, Twinkie, Tootsie, and Cato, completed her loving family.
Leslie poured her heart into everything she loved. Disneyland was her “happy place,” where countless fond memories were created with her children, family, and friends. A true 80s girl at heart, Leslie’s love for music, especially Madonna, the B-52s, and Duran Duran, brought joy to those around her. She was a comic book enthusiast with a special love for The Walking Dead and never missed an episode of Breaking Bad.
Her vibrant personality uplifted every space she entered. Whether it was her kind smile, her empathetic ear, or her playful humor, Leslie made everyone feel welcomed and cared for.
We are raising funds to support Leslie’s family during this difficult time, helping with funeral expenses and providing comfort as they grieve the loss of a mother, sister, daughter, and friend who meant so much to so many.
Please join us in honoring Leslie’s life and supporting her loved ones. Every donation is deeply appreciated and makes a difference.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
