Leon R. Raymond, 72, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on April 19th, 2017, from cancer, at Infinity Hospice Care. He was born on August 1, 1944 in Adrian, Michigan to Margaret Glisson, his mother whom he cherished greatly and his father Lee Raymond. He settled in Illinois after his service in the Navy and worked for the village of Lake Bluff Police Department. Upon retiring, he moved to Las Vegas, where he spent the rest of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Margaret Raymond. Lee, which he liked to be called, is survived by his two daughters, Robyn Sims and Melissa Allen, and his son George Raymond. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Rosemary Raymond, Ricky Raymond, Alice Lester, Georgiana Gogolin, Gary Raymond, Jeanette Burns, Brenda Garcia, Dana Kastel and Bradley Bertram. He was a very hard-working man and spent most of his life defending and protecting the community through his occupations. After retiring he spent his time with the many friends he made over the years in Las Vegas, who all love him dearly. He enjoyed his life and doing the things that made him happy. The family will receive friends for the services on Tuesday, April 25th at 2 p.m. at Palm Mortuary South Jones at 1600 S. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. He will be missed and remembered by all.
