Leo P. Baez

Leo P. Baez, 97 of Las Vegas, passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. He was born July 13, 1916, in Forth Worth, Texas, to Francisco Baez and Mercedes Ledesma. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, of 74 years, Consuelo Robles Baez; his son, Richard Baez; and grandsons, Danny Hughes and David Jensen. Leo is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Tishma (Dennis), Adela Hughes (Dan), Mary Louise Sales, Monica McGahey (Chris); sons, Arthur Baez and Thomas Baez. He also leaves behind daughter-in-law, Joanna Baez; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, family is asking donations in memory of Leo P. Baez to Happy Days Home Care, 1431 Bracken Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89104. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Our Lady of Lourdes Alumni Chapel at Bishop Gorman High School, 5959 S. Hualapai Way, Las Vegas, NV 89148. Graveside services will follow at Palm Memorial Park-Downtown, 1325 N. Main St., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
