Lawrence Miranda, of Henderson, Nevada, beloved father and husband, 75 , passed away unexpectedly, on February 6, 2024 surrounded by family at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
Born on September 24, 1948, to Jesusita Manzanarios, adopted by Trinidad Miranda, Lawrence grew up in Bloomington, California where he graduated from Bloomington High School in1967. He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1968 and received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with One Star, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. He received an honorary discharge as LCpl in 1974. Lawrence was known for his love of life, hard work, and unwavering integrity, earning the respect and admiration of all that knew him. Lawrence was a chef and incredible artist of which he was passionate about and enjoyed bringing joy and happiness to others through his creations.
He was preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Miranda, mother Jesse Miranda, his father Trinidad Miranda and sister, Monica Miranda.
He is survived by his children, Alex Miranda of Hollister, California, Cynthia Miranda of Henderson, Nevada, his four grandchildren and brothers, Trinidad Miranda, Rosalio Miranda, Rudy Miranda and sister Irene.
He is also survived by very close friends he called family that he held very close to his heart.
Lawrence's journey on this earth may have ended, but his legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift those blessed enough to have known him. Mayherest in eternal peace.
A memorial service for Lawrence will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
