Born September 13, 1926 in Madison, WI. After high school, she moved to Southern California with her parents and two younger sisters. She loved music and attended the Pasadena Civic to listen to the big bands. It was there, she met the love of her life, John. It wasn't long when John and LaVerne married on May 21, 1947. They had four children Larry, Kathy Wayne and John Jr.
LaVerne created many sewing and crocheting projects, enjoyed crafts such as painting ceramic items, gold leafing and crafting wall decorations. Family card games were always fun for the family. She loved to solve the newspaper's daily crossword puzzles, and the challenge of completing jigsaw puzzles were always something she looked forward to. She and dad loved camping, gambling and going out to the local casino's playing slot machine poker to try to win the BIG BUCKS but most of all, she loved being with her family and friends.
