Laura Squire Carwell (Donnell), the daughter of Addie and Benjamin Squire, was born, August 27, 1950, in Nashville, Tennessee, and departed this life on November 17, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a bout of illness. Donnell, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, attended the public schools of Davidson County
and graduated in 1968 from Meigs High School. She married her husband, Robert Nolan Carwell, in Nashville, Tennessee and they parented two children, Nolan and Latoya. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Rome Baptist Church in Avondale, Tennessee. She expressed her Christian love by volunteering her time to help the homeless, as well as being an active member of her church community. To know her was to love her. By all accounts, Donnell was a very kind-hearted person who unconditionally loved her family. She was an exemplary mother, a good wife, and a cherished member of a loving family. Donnell leaves to cherish her memory, husband: Robert Nolan Carwell, son: Nolan M. Carwell, daughter: Latoya Carwell-Eiland, grandchildren: Majon, Jasmine, Jordan, and Scarlett, brother: Richard (Patricia) Squire, cousin: Frank Dunn, sisters-in-law: Patricia McKissack and Sarah (David)Stuart, and beloved cousins: Pam McKinney of Indianapolis, Indiana and Debra Goodner of Chesapeake, Virginia, loving nephews, Fred McKissack (Lisa), John McKissack (Michelle), Robert McKissack, Will Davis, Michael Stuart (Yumika) and Brian Stuart and their families along with many other cousins, other family, neighbors, and friends.
