Larry Burnell Robinson, 60, a resident of North Las Vegas, passed on to eternal life September 3, 2012 at Heights of Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a man with indomitable dignity and faith in the power of Yahweh. His passing was mirrored by the fullness of his life as he spent his final days surrounded by a close-knit family. Larry was born March 26, 1952 to Ludie M. Robinson and the late Earon Robinson in Eupora, Mississippi. He spent his primary years in Saginaw, Michigan and eventually graduated from Buena Vista High School. He later earned an Associate degree from Delta College before receiving a B.A. and a Master degree in Housing and Urban Development from Michigan State University. During his time at MSU he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Through his teachings about life we were able to glean what it must be like to exist so fully as a human being. He was an avid chess player, mentor to many, and one never had to question his thoughts as he was known by closing a conversation with an affirmative nod “you understand”. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He is preceded in death by his youngest son Kahil T. Robinson; father Earon Robinson and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Raquel Cardenas-Robinson; mother Ludie M. Robinson; mother-in-law Nancy Cardenas; daughter Tasha Robinson-White (Kevin); son Lawrence A. Robinson; former wife Willabea Robinson; grandchildren: Jaelin R. White, Xia R. Robinson (Tiffany House), Kevin K. White, Seniya F. Robinson (Teia Johnson), Kahil Trey Robinson and Tye Jaden Robinson (Ebonie Ennis); sisters Joyce A. Robinson, Yvonne Long, Cathy Robinson-Belvin, Beverly Robinson-Rolack (Charles); and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Larry Burnell Robinson was loved beyond measure. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
