Dear Pat and Family,
My love and prayers are with you in the grief of Larry's passing. My remembrances of Larry are now deeply stirred. I remember the times of great ministry together and Larry's commitment and devotion to disaster relief and response around the nation and globe. He led our church in significant ways and did so with professionalism and great joy. Being around Larry and serving with him was always a blessed time that brought smiles, laughter, and gratitude as he made a significant difference in the lives of countless persons -- each of whom counted to him. To the Powell Family,

I celebrate the life of a wonderful man and mourn his passing with you.  Larry made a difference in so many lives and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him right out of college in 1980.  Larry was BRILLIANT!  He touched many lives in the very best way.  I am grateful I got the chance to know him as both a colleague and a friend.  Please accept my deepest condolences.  
Rest Easy My Dear Friend.

 We have shared so many wonderful memories with Pat and Larry over the years. Of course careers at LVFR, but more importantly a long and lasting friendship. Sharing birthday celebrations, retirement parties, Christmas parties, long talks on the phone during Covid, and many a night at El Burrito  discussing our plans to save the world. Back in the day, Roy and Larry would often compare their extensive collection of Tabasco ties. Larry gave the best hugs and had the warmest handshake. He was such a bright light and joyful soul. He was an inspiration and a wonderful example of how to live your best life, making friends and connections all around the world. He will truly be missed, but heaven is better for having received him. 

Dear Pat and Family,

Our love to you in this time of great loss. As you know Larry was very important to our work with UMCOR and the United Methodist Church. He always added a note of sanity to any sticky situation. 
I surely will miss working with such a special person.

It was always a pleasure to meet with you guys in my office and talk about how you worked with and knew my dad. Larry was an awesome presence. His smile was infectious. The Lord has gained a good one.

Dear Pat and Family, Terri and I were deeply saddened to hear about Larry's passing.  We've been talking about what seems like the many times we ran into you and said the four of us need to get together for dinner and sadly never did.  We will always fondly remember the New Year's Eve nights we ran into each other at Brio and were able to share travel stories and a few laughs.  Larry, Rest in Peace my friend!

Dear Pat and family,  Our deepest condolences to you and family during this most difficult time. Our friendship over these 30+ years has been such a blessing and great joy. I am so sure Larry and Dad are setting Heaven straight. Having donuts and coffee and enjoying their forever time together.
