Lajan Wortham

Lajan McAlister Wortham left this world April 8, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV. Lajan was born June 1,1943 in Glendale CA and grew up in Cash Arkansas. She married her husband Joe E. Wortham in 1958 and they made Las Vegas their home since 1962. Her greatest joy was raising their family. She had many jobs over the years as a seamstress, a church secretary, a clerk at the phone company and a receptionist at a RV dealership. She participated in Girl Scouting and the Las Vegas Central Little League and served as League president and district administrator. She has always enjoyed being involved with children and wanted them to have fun. Jan, as known to friends and family, retained a love for baseball and other sports & she participated in local pool leagues with her family also. She loved her family, home gardening, traveling, and camping. Jan was preceded in death by her daughter Jeannette Rhea and brother David McAlister. She is survived by her 3 children Lee Ann (Mark), Beverley, Joseph (Christine); sisters Kerry & Beth.

Grandchildren: Jessica, Brittany, Stephanie, Tyler, Marisa, Matt, Christine, JT, and Nicholas, Marcus and many bonus grandkids and 12 great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, extended family, and lifelong friends.

A funeral service for Lajan will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at Palm Mortuary, _ Eastern , 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123
