Kenneth Richard Sears, 74, of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away on July 10, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada from complications associated with congestive heart failure. Ken leaves behind his loving wife Barbara of 56 years, his daughter Lori, his son Ken and daughter-in-law Kimberly, his granddaughter Lindsay and husband Shane, grandson Chad and his fiancé Hannah Jane, grandchildren Jake, Cole, Sydney, and his great-granddaughter Oakley Anne.
Ken was born on December 9, 1947, in Los Angeles, CA to Arthur Granville Sears and Virginia Dusenberry. Ken grew up in Southern California and started his family in Covina, CA. Always a hard worker and great provider for his family, Ken previously worked as a manager for In-N-Out Burger, hauled heavy equipment, managed and owned an auto body shop, and in 1979 he began a long and successful career in construction as a ready-mixed concrete truck driver, plant operator, and retired as an Operations Manager for CEMEX in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2011.
Ken was always most proud of his kids and grandkids accomplishments, and enjoyed spending his time boating on the Colorado River, off-roading with friends in Bullhead City, watching and attending NASCAR races and baseball games, going on cruises with family and friends, watching movies on TV and listening to The Beatles. Ken was a good man, a wonderful husband, a proud father, a loyal friend and our “Pa.”
Ken will be greatly missed and always had the ability to make the people he met better than they were before. Ken will live on in our hearts and the family is asking to help keep his memory alive by making donations in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association at the web address below:
