Kenneth Allan Littlefield, 76, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Ken was born on March 30, 1945 at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware, Massachusetts to Carl Richard Littlefield of Quincy, MA and Florence Bernice Doane Littlefield of North Brookfield, MA. As he was growing up, Ken was an active child; he was a member of the Boy Scouts and played soccer during high school. After graduating from North Brookfield High in 1963, he went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Northeastern University’s School of Business in 1968. During this time, he was even a member of the Accounting Club.
After college, Ken served two tours of duty in South Vietnam as a financial specialist in the US Army, earning a Bronze Star for Valor. He continued his career with the US Army Corps of Engineers as a civilian financial specialist for 40 years. During this time, he did several overseas tours of duty, including Saudi Arabia, Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan and South Korea.
Ken was a lifelong and devoted fan of all the Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. He was also a big supporter of all the sports at his alma mater, Northeastern University. For much of his life, he supported charities and various associations such as American Red Cross, Catholic Charities, and Northeastern Alumni.
Ken is survived by his wife, Phuong Thi Littlefield; his daughters, Lan Kim Littlefield and Ly Am Smith of Washington DC; his son, Thomas Allan Littlefield of Las Vegas, NV; his brother, Robert Littlefield of Provincetown, MA; his stepbrother, Karl Peterson of Barnstable, MA; his stepsisters, Karin Callis of Bourne, MA and Joan Peterson of Calabash, NC; his aunt, Elizabeth Bayard of Lowell, MA; and a host of cousins and grandchildren to cherish his memory.
A visitation for Ken will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89113, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM.
