Kenneth Link, 79, a resident of Las Vegas, passed away on November 12, 2012 at Southern Hills Hospital after he bravely fought his battle against kidney disease. He was born March 15, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to Roy and Ethel Link. He found his soul mate and partner in life when he married Usa Pod, from Thailand, whom he met while living in Springfield, Virginia. Ken received an associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance and Engineering from Tide Water Community College in Norfolk, Virginia. Ken owned his own business as a young man then worked various positions including driving a truck for a large Hospital Launderer; his dedication and work ethic had him elected Stuart for that local Union. He was a master at maintaining and servicing large boiler operations, a plant engineer, a Supervisor, and was accountable for boiler and maintenance operations for the Arlington, Virginia School System where he worked until his retirement. Ken loved good food and socializing, enjoyed his family and was very passionate about Auto Racing, he drove and owned his own race cars over many years. He is survived by his wife, Usa; his sons Ken Jr. and Mike; his daughters Pam, Kim, Laura, Marisa; and his 13 grandchildren, all of whom live from coast-to-coast, from Washington DC to California. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on November 21, 2014 at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
