Kay Frances Moore, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Laughlin, Nevada Thursday, February 28, 2019. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan in 1940 to the late John and Genevieve (Lazowski) Latoski.
She was a devout Catholic and couldn’t have been prouder to be Polish, traveling to Poland many times in her retirement. A MSU Spartan fan her entire life, she sported her green and white with her chin up always. She was a devoted and true friend to so many people, always sharing a smile with them and it could be said, she never met a stranger. She moved to Boyne City, Michigan in the early 80’s with her daughter and met her husband, the love of her life, Fred, there. She loved her time in Boyne City and you could always catch her every August polkaing on the dance floor at the Polish Festival in Boyne Falls. After retirement, she and Fred moved to Laughlin where she met many new friends and became an active member in the community. Eventually, they made their way back to Boyne for summers and that was really where she was happiest.
Left to honor and remember her love is her husband, Fred Moore of Laughlin, NV, her daughter, Toni (Devon) Ader of Houston, TX, her stepsons Brian (Beth) Moore of Kentwood, MI and Kevin (Bambi) Moore of Boyne City, MI, the absolute loves of her life – her 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter – Cole and Zach Ader, Abby and Jake Moore, and Derik and Christopher Moore, her sister Joan (Bill) Gillman of Bay City and nieces, a nephew and grand-nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother Patrick Latoski.
The family would like to say thank you to all our friends and family that have prayed and comforted us along this difficult journey with dementia.
A celebration of life will be scheduled this summer in Boyne City.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome a donation to Alzheimer’s Association in Kay’s name.
