Joseph Danniel Roybal, age 54, of Las Vegas, Nevada lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Joe was born October 13, 1969 in Gardena, California to parents Joseph and Martha Roybal. He attended Carson High School. He then went to work for the Glendale district. He moved to Las Vegas in 1997 where he work for Dreyers Ice Cream. In 2018 Joe met, Lizette, and the two would marry in August 2022. While in Las Vegas Joe worked at IASTE 720 as a stagehand where he set up conferences, concerts and in February 2024 he accomplished his life-long dream of attending the Super Bowl when he represented the company during the Halftime Show.
Joe will be remembered by his family as loving and kind hearted. He always saw the best in everyone and every situation. He was an amazing person to be around. He was quick witted and funny. He was always making those around him laugh. He loved being around his friends and family.
Joe will also be remembered for his love of sports, especially the LA Dodgers and Dallas Cowboys. He loved and knew his music. His favorite band was Depeche Mode, but he also enjoyed the oldies. He also loved attending car shows, cooking and baking. He and Lizette enjoyed many trips to Disneyland together and went to many Dodgers games.
Joe is preceded in passing by his father, Joseph "Bennie" Roybal.
Joe is survived by the love of his life, Lizette; his step-daughter Christina; his mother, Martha, for whom he cared for the last eight years; siblings, George, Sylvia, Raymond, Margaret, Jessie, and Kathy; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Joe will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Northwest, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. A funeral service will follow.
