Joseph Luchansky, 83, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 4, 2010. He was born in Binghamton, N.Y., March 20, 1927. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Elizabeth (Gaspar) Luchansky; brother, John Luchansky; sisters, Veronica (Leonard) Price, Celia (Anthony) Kolesinskas, Irene (Stanley) Pope and Mary Luchansky; and wife, Josephine (nee Panepinto) Luchansky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II and was a retired Penn Dot employee. He was also a member of Nellis #46 F. & A.M., 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, York Rite Bodies and Zelzah Shriner. He was a 25-year resident of Las Vegas. Joseph is survived by his sons, John Angelo Messana and Michael (Sheila) Luchansky; daughter, Tana Murphy; and special friend, Rhoda Moore, all of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Burial will be at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
