Joseph J. Corbo

Joseph "Joe" Corbo passed away peacefully at home on November 5,2021 in Henderson, NV with his family by his side. Joe was born in Corona, NY on September 26, 1919 to Mary and Emanuel Corbo. He married Theresa (Monahan) in 1945 and was married for 56 years before her passing in 2002. While married they lived in New York, Florida, and New Jersey. Joe moved to Las Vegas in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son William, his brother Daniel, sister Ann, brother-in-law Joseph. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Richard J and Diane of Las Vegas; John J and Millie of Wimauma, FL; a daughter and son-in-law Marion E and Robert Kowalewski of Henderson; a sister-in-law Nettie Corbo of Franklin Square, NY; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Joe was a Army Veteran of World War II and served on General George Patten's staff. After the war he became a New York City Fireman and served for over 30 years retiring as a Lieutenant in 1976. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church in Henderson on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 10:30AM. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery in Flushing, NY.
